Holiday Sessions

Throughout the school holidays, ADFA offer sports courses for children, boys and girls, aged 5 – 15 years old at Herne Bay FC for all abilities and standards. The majority of courses in the holidays are Football Camps with the occasional week of Multi-Sports. The courses are held at Herne Bay FC, and parents can be safe in the knowledge that there child is being cared for and looked after by our fully trained and CRB Checked coaching staff.

Soccer School

The Soccer School is a fun based course for all abilities who have an interest in football. The mornings incorporate fun based coaching sessions where the children learn new skills and improve on ones they already know through small sided games and individual challenges.

In the afternoon a ‘World Cup’ style tournament is played where children can show off the skills they learnt during the morning sessions and accumulate points each day to win prizes at the end of the week. At the end of each day and just for fun, a quiz question and a task is set to the children to complete over night to gain more points for their team throughout the week.

At the end of the week all children receive a certificate of attendance and a medal. Prizes are also given to Penalty Winners, Good Attitude and Player of Week.

Our aim for these Soccer Schools in to ensure all the children enjoy themselves and have fun, make new friends, have a good experience and stay safe.

Multi-Sports

The Multi-Sports week is an opportunity for children, boys and girls, aged 5 – 15 years old to participate and discover new sports and improve on sports they have tried before. Throughout the week they will be trying a variety of sports and playing for points for their team to win a prize at the end of the week.

  • Cricket
  • Golf
  • Rugby
  • Basketball
  • Football
  • Athletics
  • Rounder’s
  • Pub Games – Bat and Trap
  • Tennis

With each sport, we coach and teach how to play and improve technique. We set challenges for the children to accumulate points for the team they are representing using the skills that they have learnt.

The children will be split up into groups and will experience each sport throughout the day. At the end of each week each child receives a medal and a certificate of attendance. Awards will be given to a player with the best attitude and a player that has shown good skill in each of the sports during the week.

There will be a Multi-Sport course in the Easter Holidays and another in the Summer Holidays.

Both Soccer Schools and Multi-Sports courses run for five days during the holidays unless it has a bank holiday.  The cost of each course is normally £45 for the week, however, when booking multiple weeks a discount is given. There is an option to pay daily and will cost of £10 per day.

Other information:

You will need to bring appropriate football wear, shin pads and football boots for the football weeks. Studs or blades are allowed, if ground is hard trainers are  suitable.

Please pack a  change of clothes in case of inclement weather. You will also need to bring a packed lunch and enough drink for the day although we have facilities to fill up water bottles. (Beware ‘e’ numbers)

Parents, as you may be aware the situation at the moment with children and allergies is very complicated.

We would ask you to not to pack any form of nuts in your child’s lunch in case of an allergic child accidentally comes into contact with them.
We are in effect making the course ‘NUT FREE’.
Thank you for your co-operation in advance.
