At ADFA we are offering the chance for boys and girls, aged 5-11 the opportunity to develop and improve their ability, technical skills and knowledge of football as individuals and as a team. Each session is planned and constructed to meet the individual needs of a player. It is open to anyone who has an interest in football at any level and the will to learn how to improve without the ‘win at all cost’ attitude.
Coaches are FA Level 2 or UEFA ‘B’ and will focus on improving individual techniques and team play by repetitive sessions to memorize key skills. Each child will be given a ball to start with to improve ball recognition and practice the skills. By listening to instructions and copying the coach they will have a basic understanding of the technique.
They will give the opportunity for these young players to ask questions and let them investigate different ways on their own using guided discovery. Small sided conditioned games at the end of the session will allow the player to express themselves and show what they have learnt and understood from the session.
Questions and answers will complete the hour session to show the understanding of the topic. At the end of each session the players will be given a skill to take away to practice at home to continue their own personal development.
Topics Covered:
- Passing
- Dribbling
